Zachary Daniel Frost passed away November 16, 2022 at the age of 36. Zachary was born in Rockford, IL on September 2, 1986. He is survived by his mother, April Frost; and his treasured children, Tyler Frost, Taylor Frost, Arya Frost, and Audria Frost; sister, Keri (Glynn) Mallon; nieces, Grace and Ellie; uncle, Rich (Betty) Casper; aunt, Marianne Casper; cousins, Terry Casper, Laura Van Loan, Russ Casper, and Jeremy Casper. He was predeceased by his father, Richard Frost; grandparents, Lee and Dorothy Casper, Howard and Nettie Frost.
Zach attended a boarding school for troubled teens in Montana at the age of 15. He was very proud of the education he received there. He thought it was the best thing his parents did for him. It was a time he felt confident and successful. Zach loved spending time with his children and was so proud of them. He loved coaching Tyler’s sports when he was young. Zach enjoyed camping, fishing, canoeing, golfing, and watching sports with a fire going. He was a dancer, a boxer, a golfer, and a diehard Dave Matthews fan. He loved road trips, home improvement projects and gardening. Zach cherished his lifelong friendship with Stew.
Zach learned everything it meant to be a man from his grandfather and always wanted a love like his grandparents, Lee and Dorothy. He said he found that love with Olivia. Zach loved his mom and would do anything for her. He would want us all to take care of her for him.
There will be a memorial open house on Thursday, December 1, 2022 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at First Covenant Church, 316 Wood Road, Rockford, IL 61107. Pastor Peter Dibley will lead a time of remembrance at 6:00 p.m.
