Ralph Leroy. McClendon, Jr., 77, of Rockford, passed away on Thursday, July 30, 2020 at his home. He was born on January 12, 1943 in Boise, Idaho on January 12, 1943, the son of Ralph Leroy McClendon, Sr. and Kathryn (Phinney) McClendon.

Ralph graduated from Huron High School in Huron, South Dakota in 1961. He married Elizabeth “Jeanie” Inskeep on February 2, 1969 in Rockford, IL and together they had two sons. Ralph worked in the shipping department at Eclipse, Inc. from 1968-1976 before working in the shipping department at Pacific Scientific where he retired from in 1998.

Ralph was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Rockford, IL for many years. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and fishing with friends.

Ralph is survived by his sons, Weslee (Amber) McClendon of Stillman Valley and Jarrett McClendon of Rockford; grandchildren, Alyssia McClendon of Rockford and Grant and Kylie McClendon of Stillman Valley; and great-grandchildren, Malachi and Angel of Rockford.

Ralph is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Jerry McClendon.

An open house celebration of life will be held in honor of Ralph at SMSF Park, 7625 Kishwaukee Road, Stillman Valley on Wednesday, August 19 from 4-7 pm.
