Obituary
Marie M. Lapour, 80, of Rockford, IL passed away on June 23, 2022. Born September 14, 1941, in Amboy, IL, to John and Mae Walsh. Marie graduated from Amboy schools as well as business college in Rockford. She worked at Rock River building supply and Behr Machinery, she later retired and worked with her husband. She enjoyed reading, dancing, and any gambling machines.
Marie and Robert enjoyed spending time together learning new crafts, seeing Marie smile, and the enjoyment in her eyes when a project was complete meant the world to Robert. At Christmas Robert cooked the dinner and Marie made her good gravy. They would play guessing games and Marie was the one with a great memory.
Survived by her husband, Robert; a sister; a brother; daughter, Becky; four step-children; three sisters-in-law; five brothers-in-law,; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Predeceased by her parents; two sisters-in-law; and one brother.
