Obituary
Elizabeth "Jeanie" Jean Inskeep, 73, of Rockford, IL, passed away on Sunday, October 17, 2021. Jeanie was born on January 13, 1948, in Centerville, IA, the daughter of Wesley Inskeep and Marcella (McKern) Inskeep. She graduated from Seymour Community High School in Seymour, IA, in 1966. Jeanie was married to Ralph McClendon in 1969. They later divorced. Together they had two sons, WesLee and Jarrett. Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of her life and she treasured her time with each of them.
Jeanie was employed as Safety Coordinator for Honeywell/Eclipse in Rockford, IL, from 1978 to 2019. She enjoyed her work during her years at Eclipse and her co-workers were like family to her.
Jeanie is survived by her sons, WesLee (Amber) McClendon of Stillman Valley, IL and Jarrett McClendon of Rockford, IL; grandchildren, Grant and Kylie McClendon of Stillman Valley, Alyssia McClendon of Rockford; and great-grandchildren, Malachi, Angel and Aziah of Rockford; her sister, Vicki Inskeep-Brown (Dennis), Epping, NH and brother, Steve Inskeep (Kim), of Knoxville, IA, along with numerous members of her extended family.
A Celebration of Life will be held in honor of Jeanie on November 12, 2021, from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm at the Kishwaukee Community Church, 8195 Kishwaukee Rd., Stillman Valley, IL. A memorial service is planned for Jeanie in spring of 2022 at the Jerome Cemetery in Jerome, IA.
