Edward Adam Foerster, 81, of Rockford, passed away on Tuesday June 2, 2020. Born December 16, 1938, in Chicago, IL, the son of Frederick and Eleanor (Iverson) Foerster. Attended Barrington High School. Edward married Susanne V. Sabo on September 22, 1957 in Barrington, IL, celebrating 63 years together. Edward was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. He worked in the trucking industry most of his life, working at Barrington Trucking and then moved to the Rockford area to start up AAA Disposal with 2 partners. After that, he started at different times, 2 separate truck repair companies while continuing to work at Midwest Trucking until recently having health issues. He enjoyed his work tremendously. He was a hard worker and dedicated to supporting his family. He was an extremely loving and caring person who never judged and would give you the shirt off his back.
He is survived by his wife, Susanne; children, Susanne (Ricard) Snap, Edward (Joanne) Foerster,Michael (Lynn) Foerster, Ralph (Laurel) Quatrano, Sharon (Randy) Martin, Sheila Foerster, David (Ali) Foerster; grandchildren, Jeffrey (Justine) Snap, Stephanie (Sean) Denny, Sanci, Rischel, Rhett, Felicia, and Rianne Foerster, Stephen and Jacob Foerster, Jordan and Morgan Quatrano,Dylan (Danelle) Martin, Danielle Martin, Dari Curry, Cody, Charlotte, and Wyatt Foerster;great-grandchildren, Alex, Tyler, and Aria Snap, Kane Foerster, Theron and Thea Foerster, Owen and Sebastian Foerster, Alyssa, Oakley, and Cameron Martin, and Derek Curry; sisters, Sharon (Don) Bourdeau, Louise Foerster-Newton, Cynthia Foerster-Baker; brother, Richard (Mary) Foerster; and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents; brother, David Foerster; and granddaughter, Allayha Darnell.
An informal service will be held in the Martin residence on June 13, 2020. Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
