Donna Marie (Buckland) O’Brien, also known to some as short grandma, 74, of Machesney Park, IL passed away peacefully in her home on Sunday, August 22, 2021. She was born on September 13, 1946, in Escanaba, MI.

She is survived by her loving husband, Dennis O’Brien of Machesney Park, IL; daughters, Pam (Tony) Vitale of Loves Park, IL, Julie Colwell of Winnebago, IL; step-daughter, Jodi (Mark) Hubler of Fort Myers, FL; granddaughters, Megan (Shawn) Pruitt of Machesney Park, IL, Ashley (Mike) Fernando of Poplar Grove, IL, Jenna (Kyle) Trent of Machesney Park, IL, Jennifer Meeker of Chicago, IL; step-grandsons, Codie Whitaker, Keagan Whitaker; great-grandsons, Jordan Ramirez, Westin Eccles, Bodhi Pruitt; step-great-granddaughter, Jiselle Whitaker; and numerous friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Ernestine Buckland of Escanaba, MI, and son-in-law, Rick Colwell of Winnebago, IL.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
