Debra "Deb" Tallacksen

Debra "Deb" Tallacksen, 64, of Rockford passed away July 27, 2021. Deb was a loving wife, the best Mother, Grandmother, teacher, friend and neighbor. Deb was born August 27, 1956 in Rockford. The daughter of Wesley and Alvina (Butler) Knutson. Deb married Rod Tallacksen on December 15, 2006 in Rockford. Deb was a graduate of Guilford High School and attended Patricia Stevens College. Deb was a secretary at Rockford Feeder Company. She had several hobbies and interests, including Bowling. She was secretary of her bowling league at Don Carter Lanes. Deb became a Girl Scout Leader and her best role was stay at home mom, taking care of loved ones around her. Deb loved gardening, cooking, spring and summer decorating and Nascar, especially Dale Jarrett. Deb was an avid Cubs fan, plus she loved anything Mickey Mouse. Deb was an animal lover of her dogs Mickey and Minnie and her cats, Wrigley, Gypsy and Kirby. 

Deb is survived by husband, Rod Tallacksen; son, Christopher Wesley Gadbois Sr.; daughters, April Cardenas, and Payton Tallacksen; stepson, Nick (Sarah) Tallacksen; grandchildren, Christopher Wesley Gadbois, Christopher James Gadbois, Breanna, Hannah, Luca, Theo, and Louise; brother, Steve (Tracy) Knutson; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. predeceased by parents, Wesley and Alvina Knutson.

Memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, August 9, 2021, with a visitation from 5:00pm-7:00pm in Calvary Memorial Church, 2715 N Alpine Rd., Rockford.
