Cinda Lou Winterrowd

Cinda L. Winterrowd, 71, of Kirkland, IL passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on March 6, 2021. Cinda was born on September 9, 1949 in Elgin, IL, the daughter of Alex and Janis (Underhill) Perly. She married Gary L. Winterrowd on June 24, 1989 in Deitrich, IL. Cinda worked as a heliarc welder at Lighttolier in Elgin, IL from 1974 until the plant closed in 1991. She later retired from Walmart in 2012. Cinda enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles, quilting, crocheting, metal detecting, visiting casinos, spoiling her grandchildren and long car rides with her husband, Gary. Cinda was the second mother to all of her children's friends. She made everyone around her feel comfortable and loved. She could make anyone laugh and she did every chance she got. Anyone who knew Cinda would tell you her smile lit up every room she entered. 

Cinda is survived by her husband, Gary Winterrowd of Kirkland, IL; her children, James D. Repp of DeKalb, IL, Kathy (Andy) Fisher of Toledo, OH and Trina (Dan) Heeter of Loves Park, IL; her step-children, Amee Robertson of Rochelle, IL, Amber Hansen of Byron, IL and Troy Winterrowd of Robinson, IL; her grandchildren, Amanda (Kevin) Palos of Kirkland, IL, Danielle Aikeley of Freeport, IL and Kaden Heeter of Loves Park, IL; her step-grandchildren, Thomas Robertson of Rockford, IL, Lillian Robertson of Rochelle, IL and Ava Winterrowd of Robinson, IL; her great-grandchildren, Lucian and Landyn Palos of Kirkland, IL and Isabelle Whitehead of Freeport, IL; her sister, Linda Grimsley of DeKalb, IL; brother, Lex (Brenda) Perly of Elgin, IL and sister, Kristy (Carl) Petersen of South Elgin, IL; several nieces, nephews and great-nieces. Predeceased by her parents; sister, Karen McMenamin; brother, Steven Perly; aunt, Jean (Dennis) Twadell and her beloved dog, Barney.
