Ruth M. Kettner

Ruth M. Kettner, 74, of Garden Prairie went to be with her Lord and Savior on May 18, 2019 surrounded by her family and friends after a short illness. Born March 23, 1945 in Menomonie, WI to George and Alice (Francis) Edmonds. Married Ed Kettner on October 24, 1962 in Murfreesboro, TN; they were married for 56 years. Ruth was employed by Green Giant in Belvidere, Plastic Recycling Company in Garden Prairie, Aramark Food Service at Washington School and as a janitor for both East Park Baptist Church and Calvary Baptist Church and School. Most recently she was caring for her 2 grandchildren.

Survivors include husband, Ed; children, Craig of Madison, TN, Tim (Brenda) of Colfax, WI, Ed Jr. of Rockford, Curt (Ashley) of Belvidere; 6 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; brothers, Dale (Nan) Edmonds of Temple, TX, Roger (Tina) Edmonds of Poplar Grove; sister, Gloria (Charles) Dutcher of Warren, WI; sisters-in-law, Marion Edmonds of Benson, AZ, Mary Edmonds of Trevor, WI; and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents; and brothers, Bob, Jim, Less, and Wayne.

Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 8, 2019 in Faith Baptist Church, 1637 7th Avenue, Belvidere. Refreshments to follow.
