Patrick Donald Reese

Patrick Donald Reese, 50, passed away April 15, 2019 in his home, with the love of his life Rennee Eickman and her family who tirelessly and lovingly cared for him during his long illness. Pat was the son of Donald and Margaret Reese; and brother to Donald, Michael, Angela, Donna and Julie.

Patrick was a passionate man. His passions included his many strong friendships, his career as a machine-toolist, multiple martial arts, drumming, cooking, heavy metal music, brewing beer, fishing, and his dog Bella. One of his closest friends, Mike Benjamin, described him as "a fair-haired Viking unleashed in the modern world." His siblings knew him as a steadfast and loyal brother with a deep soul and a wicked sense of humor, who loved to entertain everyone with colorful stories. His niece Ashley knew him as a second father.

Pat is survived by Rennee Eickman of Loves Park; her parents, Cheryl and Dave of Loves Park; her sister, Nikki of Loves Park; his siblings, Donald (Jean) Reese of Oswego, IL, Michael (Cami) Reese of Winnebago, Angela (David) Barber of Leaf River, Donna (Erik) Davidsen of The Woodlands, Texas, and Julie Grant of Clinton, Connecticut; as well as nieces, Ashley (Cody), Kendra, Abbey, and Bridget; and nephews Steven (Ryan), Danny, Andy, Damien, Kyle, Jack, and Liam. He was predeceased by his parents, Donald and Margaret Reese.

Pat will be remembered at a Celebration of Life gathering on June 7, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., at Olson Swedish Heritage Shelter, 7901 Harlem Rd in Loves Park, IL. His family and friends are invited to raise a toast to his life and share stories about their time with Patrick.
