Gerald Eldridge Obituary

Gerald A. Eldridge, 70, of Winnebago, passed away Saturday, March 30, 2019. He was born August 16, 1948 in Beloit, Wisconsin to Robert and Barbara (Boss) Eldridge. Jerry spent over 18 years working, fishing, vacations and family life of ups and downs with Kathy Hauser. They were wed on March 17, 2005 in chapel at Midway Village in Rockford. They resided in Winnebago mostly surrounded by caring neighbors, too numerous to mention. He owned and operated R.E.A.L Precision Grinding. Jerry took pride in his business and had a passion for it. Thank you to Lloyd (Red) Medlar and Josh Weir. They were a great help to him his last years he had the shop. He also enjoyed fishing with the Hauser brothers, golfing with close friend, Red Medlar, cribbage with Bill Hauser, playing pool with Al Gable and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife, Kathy Hauser-Eldridge; children, Stephanie (Gini) Bergner, Julie Eldridge, Jennifer (Troy Ogden) McGee and Viola Hauser; grandchildren, Mikayla, Adrianna, Tyler, Andrew Gerald, Alex, Ryleigh, Andrew, Aydan, Zayne and Keenan; numerous great-grandchildren; brothers, Robert (Gloria) Eldridge, Duane (Bronda) Eldridge and Ricky Eldridge; sister, Diane (Larry) Musser; special friends, Dorothy and Lou Hilstad and Bonnie and Harold Watson. Predeceased by his parents; brothers, Tom and Michael Eldridge; best companion, Buck the Magnificent. 

Special thank you to Wendy and Paula from Palliative Care and Elizabeth, Tamika and entire Hospice team for helping keep him comfortable at most important times.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2019 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Pow-Wow Club in Tullocks Woods, 4500 Stage Coach Trail, Rockford, Illinois 61101.  For more information regarding the service, please contact Kathy.
